The role of a Strategic Account Executive involves executing sales strategies aimed at enhancing opportunities and revenue from both existing and prospective accounts. This position is crucial for maintaining productivity and profitability through effective management of customer relationships, with a focus on customer retention and promoting all available capabilities.
Account Management Responsibilities
- Develop and fortify customer relationships and loyalty, establishing strategic partnerships.
- Encourage additional solutions to current clients to help meet company targets and uncover new opportunities where Nortech Control Systems' products and services can assist.
- Utilize both traditional and innovative methods to cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including attending events, networking, and delivering product presentations.
- Prepare quotes for customer inquiries and manage these within the CRM system.
- Oversee the inquiry pipeline, proactively reaching out to customers who have expressed interest to secure sales orders.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and provide updates on sales activities.
New Business Development
- Implement sales plans, forecasts, and identify opportunities for market relationships and clients.
- Target new accounts in alignment with the company's sales strategy.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities, converting them into orders.
- Acquire new customers; schedule appointments, present to potential clients, and successfully negotiate contracts.
- Demonstrate products and technology as needed.
- Engage in presentations, including trade shows and sales meetings.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Extensive experience in a B2B environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to build effective customer relationships at all levels.
- Self-motivated individual capable of generating leads, scheduling appointments, and presenting effectively.
- Driven and positive individual who can achieve results in a competitive environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to perform effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
- A collaborative team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
- High standards, goal-oriented, and well-developed commercial awareness.
- Proven track record of maximizing and delivering targeted revenues.
- Proactive approach to both existing and new customers.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK with overnight stays as necessary.
- Possession of a full driving license.

- BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the security industry and related products.
- Current industry contacts.
- Experience in generating new business through LinkedIn.
- Successful experience in cold outreach via email and phone.
