About the Role

Safran Seats is seeking a Senior Strategic Buyer to join our team in Cwmbran. As a key member of our Strategic Purchasing team, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities within the Supply Chain to meet programme budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input into the multi Business Unit Target Purchasing Strategy (TPS)
  • Identification and implementation of cost-saving opportunities within the Supply Chain
  • Identification, creation, and management of supplier Long Term Agreements (LTA)
  • Management of projects for varying Commodities covering quality, cost, delivery, and transfers of work
  • Liaison with internal and external departments on behalf of the Purchasing team

Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level standard
  • Team Management/Leadership skills
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Demonstrable experience in problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge of Purchasing activity within a manufacturing environment
