Editorial Role in Scientific Publishing

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Editorial Assistant to join our team at Redwood, a reputable publisher of peer-reviewed journals in the life sciences. As an Editorial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our publications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Content Development: Collaborate with Editorial Board members and subject experts to identify and commission high-quality research articles that align with our journal's scope and aims.
  2. Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest research advances in biomedicine, using various sources such as news sites, conference programs, and competitor analysis.
  3. Content Management: Manage the content pipeline to meet article publication targets and production deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality content.
  4. Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with Editorial Board members, subject experts, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and collaborative editorial process.

Requirements:

  • Strong life science degree and a keen interest in building knowledge of relevant scientific subjects.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • First-class communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
