We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Editor to join our team at Redwood Publishing Recruitment. As a Scientific Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of scientific manuscripts published in our journals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manuscript Editing: You will be responsible for editing scientific and technical manuscripts for language and readability, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
- Factual Content Checking: You will check the factual content of manuscripts and deal with any queries that may arise.
- Peer Review Coordination: You will be involved in the peer review process, including identifying problems with plagiarism, animal ethics, patient consent, and figure manipulation.
- Collaboration: You will collaborate with the wider scientific community and internal teams to ensure the smooth publication of manuscripts.
Requirements:
- PhD in Biological Sciences: You must have a PhD in the biological sciences to be considered for this role.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with authors and other stakeholders.
- Time Management: You must be able to manage high-quality work while working to tight deadlines.
- Scientific Knowledge: You must have a good understanding of scientific principles and be able to maintain a level of scientific knowledge appropriate to the role.
What We Offer:
