We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audiologist to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. As a key member of our Audiology Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Audiologist to join our multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of our comprehensive adult rehabilitation service, including a dedicated service for adults with complex needs, tinnitus, and hearing therapy services. You will also be involved in the delivery of a full paediatric assessment and rehabilitation service, including the Newborn Hearing Screening Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • To perform autonomously and take a supervisory role in a broad range of routine and complex technical activities within audiology.
  • To deliver all technical work through skilled performance of a broad range of work and activities, the majority of which are complex and non-routine, particularly in diagnostic audio vestibular service and the paediatric service.
  • To formulate individualised care plans for individuals with a hearing loss, working within in/out patients, acute and community Audiology, GP direct referrals for hearing aids, and domiciliary visits.
  • To take on some line management responsibilities and mentoring of junior staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have professional registration with RCCP/HCPC and a strong background in audiology. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
