FEA Engineer

Altair Engineering is seeking a highly skilled FEA Engineer to join our team in Irvine, CA. This is a contract position that requires a strong background in simulation driven design workflows, AI/ML techniques, and physics-based AI algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement simulation models using commercially available tools such as ANSYS, Altair, and COMSOL.
- Apply AI/ML techniques to improve design cycle times and accelerate innovation.
- Utilize Reduced Order Modeling (ROM) to accelerate simulation outcomes.
- Optimize design objectives using state-of-the-art optimization software.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to gather requirements, define strategic approaches, and communicate project outcomes.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with hands-on experience in utilizing simulations to solve real-world challenges.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant simulation expertise, showcasing proficiency in commercially available simulation tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of optimization algorithms, design exploration, and design of experiments.
- Sound grasp and at least one year experience in applying AI/ML, surrogate modeling, and deep learning techniques.
- Proven record of successful collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams.
