About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to join our team at rmg digital. As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our big data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the transition from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack, ensuring seamless data integration and efficient data processing.
  • Improve the speed and efficiency of our product data pipeline, leveraging modern data technologies and best practices.
  • Manage vast quantities of fleet operational data using modern big data practices, including data warehousing, data mining, and data visualization.
  • Create autonomous, data-driven workflows using cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with our DevOps team for agile development and customer onboarding, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Assist our Analytics team with big data challenges, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Promote data management best practices and standards across the organization, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Requirements
  • Background in STEM, Computer Science, or a related field, with work experience or equivalent expertise.
  • Extensive experience with Databricks or similar modern data stack providers, including data warehousing, data integration, and data governance.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, ensuring efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data processing, including data warehousing, data mining, and data visualization.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and cloud services for scalable compute, ensuring efficient development and deployment.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience in the logistics or vehicle industry, providing valuable insights and expertise.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.), ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience working with timeseries/geographic data, providing valuable insights and expertise.
