Business Development Leader

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to lead our national sales efforts and drive business growth. As our National Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the diesel generator market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Sales Efforts: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, engaging with potential clients and crafting tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve national growth targets, setting goals, preparing action plans, and forecasting revenue.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to maintain a competitive edge.
- Cross-Selling: Promote services across Dawsongroup businesses, generating intercompany leads to maximize client value.
- Proposal Management: Prepare detailed proposals, deliver persuasive presentations, and negotiate contracts.
- Performance Reporting: Provide accurate reports on sales activities, pipeline progress, and financial performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery and contribute to the overall strategy and growth of Dawsongroup Power Solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience: Sales management within the power generation or asset rental sector.
- Technical knowledge: In-depth understanding of the diesel generator market, with knowledge of generator specifications and applications.
- Leadership skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Relationship building: Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills for interpreting market data and trends.
- Self-motivation: Self-motivated and proactive with a focus on achieving sales targets.
