Deputy Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Lidl. As a Deputy Store Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our store, working closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in the overall management of the store, including staff supervision, customer service, and stock control.
  • Take charge of the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of store strategies, including sales growth, customer engagement, and staff development.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and promoting a positive and inclusive store culture.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 per annum.
  • 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata) per year.
