Assistant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at OBM People. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in leading the delivery of operational services and driving performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of operational services and drive performance improvements
  • Support the Operations Manager in leading and managing individual and team performance and development
  • Collaborate with the HSSEQ department to ensure continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Use Power BI to report KPIs and build monthly reports
  • Identify opportunities for growth and report significant breaches of policy and/or regulation to the Operations Manager or appropriate person
  • Financial planning and budgetary control, inventory control, and disposal cost effectiveness
  • Business case cost planning preparation and assist in development and execution of business plans with a primary focus on profit growth

Requirements:

  • UK Driving Licence
  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and able to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Ability to work stand-alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while a positive contributor to the wider team
  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite and a practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications
