Powertrain Concept Design and Integration Engineer

Contechs is seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Concept Design and Integration Engineer to join our team in Surrey. As a key member of our Body & Chassis division, you will be responsible for designing and integrating powertrain concepts for our automotive clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop powertrain concepts using Catia V5, with a focus on carbon fibre composite design and mechanical layout.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of powertrain concepts into full vehicle designs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design drawings in accordance with BS 8888, including geometric tolerancing.
  • Conduct hand calculations to support design decisions and ensure 'right first time' quality work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in powertrain design and development.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive Catia V5 design, with a focus on powertrain and mechanical layout.
  • Proven track record of designing and integrating powertrain concepts into full vehicle designs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in MS Office products.
