About the Company:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive Manufacturer based in Surrey who are seeking a Powertrain Senior Engineer to join their team.

Job Description:

As a Powertrain Senior Design Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed designs and engineering components and systems from concept to production.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure components and systems meet technical and package targets and deliver detailed designs on time to predetermined quality, cost, and weight targets and within DFM requirements.
  • Ensuring components interface seamlessly with the wider car, including structural interfaces, cooling systems, low and high voltage electrical systems, and control systems.
  • Supporting powertrain component and vehicle development activities, manufacture, and launch planning.

Requirements:

  • CATIA V5 / V6 2D/3D skills with GD&T application experience.
  • A high level of technical knowledge and experience of Powertrain component and system design, packaging, engine test, and production.
  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • A passion for high-performance powertrain engineering.
  • Adopts a creative and thoughtful approach to concept design and solving engineering problems with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent feasibility assessment skills, including design for manufacture.
