About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Senior Design Consultant to join our team at Contechs. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing powertrain components and systems from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop powertrain components and systems, ensuring they meet technical and package targets.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure components and systems meet quality, cost, and weight targets.
  • Work with the wider car team to ensure seamless integration of powertrain components.
  • Support powertrain component and vehicle development activities, manufacture, and launch planning.
  • Define package constraints for powertrain components.
Requirements
  • CATIA V5/V6 2D/3D skills with GD&T application experience.
  • High level of technical knowledge and experience of powertrain component and system design, packaging, engine test, and production.
  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Passion for high-performance powertrain engineering.
  • Excellent feasibility assessment skills, including design for manufacture.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with high level of self-motivation to deliver excellence.
