Transport Operator

Yusen Logistics is a leading logistics company seeking a skilled Transport Operator to join our team. As a Transport Operator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating deliveries and collections from our Grange Park site.

Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for actioning the daily transport delivery and collection plan, overcoming operational challenges, and ensuring the impact is minimised. You will communicate with relevant personnel throughout the depot and ensure that we achieve our targets and service levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating deliveries and collections from our Grange Park site
  • Actioning the daily transport delivery and collection plan
  • Overcoming operational challenges and minimising their impact
  • Communicating with relevant personnel throughout the depot
  • Ensuring customer requests are fulfilled
  • Liaising promptly and efficiently with drivers
  • Recording all abnormalities in deliveries and updating paperwork
  • Communicating any concerns, issues, or variances to instructions to your line manager
  • Ensuring all health and safety and transport mandatory procedures are adhered to
  • Actively supporting in audit work and KPI monitoring

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a Transport Operator role
  • Route planning experience
  • An understanding of transport procedures, including WTD and EU Driver regulations
  • An understanding of fleet management, including maintenance and servicing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
