About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Staff Nurse to join our team in the inpatient environment. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and motivation to develop junior staff, while maintaining high professional standards and demonstrating commitment to staff development and patient care.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and be able to deliver a high-quality service that genuinely engages with service users, carers, and other stakeholders. You will be expected to work a mix of early, late, and night shifts, with the possibility of rotating onto nights at times.

The post holder will support the delivery of the ward/unit through delivering clinical supervision to junior staff, acting as the shift lead, and carrying out clinical audits where necessary. You will also provide nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care given to inpatient service users.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse who meets the following criteria:

  • 1st level registered nurse with current NMC registration
  • Mentorship registered with NMC
  • High level knowledge/appreciation of a range of models of practice in social and health care
  • Knowledge and working experience of interventions and strategies which embrace social and health care needs
