About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Psychiatrist to join our team at Iris Care Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and participating in strategic development within our service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality psychiatric assessments of patients referred to our service in a timely fashion.
  • Lead the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and be the responsible clinician for patients under your care.
  • Develop and regularly update clinical risk assessment and management plans for patients using appropriate techniques and tools.
  • Produce high-quality psychiatric reports for various agencies and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the Psychiatrist On-call rota and provide expert consultation on psychiatric care to staff and agencies.
  • Contribute to and supervise the assessment, formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plans of clients receiving care.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress during the course of multi-disciplinary care.

Person Specification

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualifications.
  • MRSPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists for consultant position.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months of gaining CCT.
  • Approved clinician status for consultant position.
  • Approved under S12 for consultant position.
