Location: Onsite - Central London

This role requires working onsite from Monday to Friday during term time, with the possibility of remote work or adjusted hours during school holiday periods.

Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the UK.

Mackenzie Jones, a prominent educational institution, is looking to hire a dedicated IT Support Engineer specializing in 1st and 2nd line support. The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides assistance to over 65 staff members, ensuring smooth operational functionality.

Key Technical Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a 1st Line / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer or System Administrator.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows 11/10 environments.
  • Experience with Office 365 support.
  • Ability to assist with various End User Devices including Windows PCs, Laptops, Desktops, iPads, and Tablets.
  • Competence in hardware and software support, including installation, configuration, and deployment.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, SSL, and IPSec; familiarity with Wireless Switches (Cisco/Ubiquity) is advantageous.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like InTune.
  • Knowledge of Audio/Visual equipment, including projectors and interactive displays.
  • Awareness of security measures including firewalls, antivirus software, web filters, and security policies.
  • Experience with VOIP communications and telephony support.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, coupled with a proactive approach.

Working Hours:

This is an onsite position with standard hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM during term time, and 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM during school holidays, with some flexibility for remote work.
