Primary Care Mental Health Nurse Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, recovery-focused psychological interventions to patients who require primary care mental health services.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide highly specialized advice and guidance to GPs and mental health teams.
- Liaise with a range of statutory and non-statutory organizations to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Manage a caseload of clients and triage referrals for the non-urgent mental health pathway.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in an accessible and engaging manner, taking into account individual client needs and preferences.
- Refer clients to other services as necessary and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of complex mental health issues.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess excellent assessment and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. A strong understanding of mental health principles and practices is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
