About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Custody Nurse/Paramedic to join our team at Connaught Resourcing. As a Custody Nurse/Paramedic, you will work within the custody contracts, providing healthcare services to patients/detainees under company PGDs (patient group directives).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage minor illnesses or injuries and take appropriate actions, referring onwards for more serious conditions.
  • Clinical examination of police officers/staff injured whilst on duty.
  • Collect specimens as required under legislation.
  • Provide written statements and testimony as required in any Court or Tribunal.
  • Alcohol and Drug Intoxication Testing.
  • Undertake Mental Health and Learning Disability assessments.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse (General/Mental health)/ Paramedic.
  • Minimum 2 years qualified.
  • NMC Registration /HCPC registration.
  • Willing to undertake DBS check and police vetting process.
  • Venipuncture.
  • Lived in the UK for 3 years.
  • Nursing experience in the following: A&E, ITU, EAU, SAU, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, drug & alcohol workers, EAU, SAU (other nursing backgrounds will be considered).
  • Valid UK Driving License with access to a car for work purposes.
