Mitie is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Detention Custody Officer to join our team at Swinderby Vehicle Base. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of security and safety while promoting the welfare and decency of residents.

About the Role

As a Detention Custody Officer, you will be responsible for escorting and safely transporting immigration residents across the UK, as well as working at local airports. This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a challenging yet rewarding role.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: £25.40 per hour based on 40 hours per week
  • Pension and Life Insurance
  • Flexible Working: Full flexibility is required as this is a 24-hour service, with a rolling shift pattern covering both days and nights

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a UK car manual driving license, a valid British Passport, EU Passport with Share Code, or indefinite leave to remain from a Commonwealth country. You must also have no more than 6 points on your driving license.
