Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Marchmont House Care Home. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized care plans for residents, working closely with their families and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care, including observations, medications, and other relevant information.
- Lead and guide your care team, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Monitor resident health and well-being, identifying and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to MAR sheets and protocols.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
- Promote independence and autonomy for residents, while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
- Act on feedback from the team, ensuring resident health and well-being are always prioritized.
- Champion respect and dignity for every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
- Encourage social interactions and activities, enriching the lives of residents and creating a vibrant community.
- Prioritize safety and maintain a secure environment for all residents.
- Support balanced nutrition and hydration, monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
- Respond to emergencies promptly, utilizing the on-call system and reflective practices to continually improve our care.
About You:
- You are a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
- While care home experience is a plus, what really matters is your passion for care and your dedication to improving the lives of our residents.
- You have a natural ability to connect with people, bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanor to every interaction.
- Communication is your superpower, whether you're talking with a resident about their needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team.
