Position Overview

A Residential Gas Technician is needed to join our team at Interaction Construction.


We are looking for a skilled Residential Gas Technician to operate in various regions. As an essential part of our service and maintenance division, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of gas systems in residential properties. Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to project timelines and uphold company standards by working effectively and safely, ensuring a high-quality outcome.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients and their customers, treating everyone with respect and addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Execute all tasks in strict accordance with company protocols and industry standards, including Gas Safe regulations and best practices.
  • Perform repairs and minor works as necessary for installation callbacks or remedial tasks.
  • Respond to breakdowns and urgent service calls promptly.
  • Manage parts ordering and job assignments to ensure swift resolution of client issues.
  • Utilize a PDA for tracking parts and job completion.
  • Update the handheld device and back-office system upon job completion.


Compensation and Benefits:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in Commercial and Domestic Gas certifications: CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1.
  • City & Guilds Energy Efficiency certification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated punctuality, professionalism, and adaptability, along with experience using mobile PDAs.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.


Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the Social Housing or Housing Associations sector, particularly in gas installation and maintenance.
  • Proven ability to work directly with residents and clients.
  • A valid UK driving license and a DBS check are mandatory.
