About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Conference and Events Manager to provide exceptional hospitality to all of our Conference and Events guests. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Conference and Events departments, providing exceptional customer service, and managing a team of staff to deliver high-quality events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the hotel's conference rooms, working closely with colleagues and the nights team to ensure brand standards are met at all times.
  • Provide exceptional hospitality to ensure smooth running of all weddings and events as per guest requirements.
  • Ensure all function rooms and conference rooms are set and presentable at all times.
  • Work closely with the Breakfast Manager and Restaurant & Bars Manager to produce an efficient rota utilizing staff to meet the business needs of the wider Food and Beverage Department.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Work closely with the Conference and Events sales team to understand Conference, Wedding, and Event requirements, attending 48-hour meetings with wedding couples to ensure a smooth handover.
Requirements

You will have worked previously in a similar Conference and Events role, either as a senior supervisor or a manager looking to progress your career. Experience of working in a 4-star hotel would be advantageous. You will be required to support the wider Food and Drinks departments as and when required.

This is a management role, and therefore, you will demonstrate high levels of both self-motivation and the ability to motivate, lead, and develop a team. You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
