About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the Southern region of the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our market presence in the municipal and wastewater industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage a Team: Oversee a team of Technical Sales Engineers to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop Strategic Sales Plans: Create and implement plans to broaden our customer base and enhance our market presence.
  • Foster Long-Term Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with large accounts, focusing on account growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with design and engineering teams to craft tailored solutions that meet client specifications.
  • Oversee the Sales Process: Manage the entire sales process, from initial client engagement through to order fulfillment and project completion.
  • Assess Sales Performance: Regularly review sales performance and provide detailed reports to senior management.
  • Monitor Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for new business ventures.
  • Ensure Adherence to Company Policies: Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards are followed.
About the Ideal Candidate
  • Proven Sales Management Experience: A proven track record in sales management within the technical or engineering sectors, particularly in related water/chemical processing industries.
  • Exceptional Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing high-performing, technical sales teams.
  • Strong Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the sales lifecycle from conception to delivery.
  • Account Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and expand large accounts with a strategic focus on long-term relationship building.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively across the South of the UK to support major accounts and sales activities.
