Job Title: Disability Assessor - Part Time Opportunity

Donard Recruitment is seeking a skilled Disability Assessor to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Disability Assessor, you will play a crucial role in providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while ensuring a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for the service user.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports (PBR) for claimants with a range of health conditions and disabilities.
  2. Manage caseloads from end to end, including breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
  3. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality assessments and excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic with valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  2. Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a mix of full-time and part-time hours.
What We Offer:
  1. Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500 with rising to 10% quality & retention bonus.
  2. 5% retention bonus.
  3. Hybrid working hours available.
  4. Training options: 12 weeks (full time), 14 weeks (4 days per week) & 17 weeks (3 days per week).
  5. 25 days Holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service.
