Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Assessor – Nurse to join our team at TPS Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Victims' Payment Board (VPB) in the delivery of the clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet face-to-face with applicants to review medical evidence and determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement.
  • Play a proactive role in seeking additional medical evidence from GPs, healthcare professionals, or services to support the applicant's TPDPS application.
  • Gather relevant information from applicants and analyse clinical information to compile a comprehensive report.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience as a nurse.
  • Fully registered with the NMC without sanction or conditions of practice.
  • A demonstrable background in mental health or psychiatric speciality.
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales.
  • Report writing skills with the ability to deal with a high volume of work using a laptop and IT systems.

  • A competitive basic salary of £38,500 with the potential to increase to £41,400 plus up to 10% bonus.
  • Initial 6 weeks' training and ongoing support provided.
  • Flexible work patterns with the option to work from home.
