About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial and Employment Lawyer to join our dynamic team at Brookson Group, a leading provider of workforce solutions. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations in the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Regulatory Expertise: Implement processes and policies to ensure that our businesses comply with legal obligations in the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to provide advice and guidance on employment law and commercial matters.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our legal team.
  • Business Support: Assist our business operations with legal-related matters, including contract negotiations, employment disputes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to educate internal staff on sub-regional labor, contract, and compliance matters.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor legal practices and developments, and legislative changes, to ensure our business remains compliant and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-3 years' experience in drafting and negotiating labor law contracts, MSAs, and employment documents, with expertise in compliance and regulatory laws.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, influencing skills, and ability to provide clear direction to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain compliance elements to business and clients.
  • Adaptability: Enthusiasm to develop expertise in sub-regional labor, contract, and compliance matters, and willingness to learn sub-regional data protection rules.
  • Collaboration: Collaborative approach, working with diverse teams across divisions and regions, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Accountability: Motivation to build, lead, and develop a team, with a results-driven mindset and strong sense of accountability.
