About the Role

Cummins Mellor Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Host to join our team. As a Building Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all building guests and tenants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
  • Manage the daily activity of contractors and third-party vendors
  • Support the Building Manager in respect of building maintenance, tenant liaison, health and safety, and facilities coordination
  • Ensure the reception area is always in pristine condition
  • Arrange extra services such as transport for tenants as required
  • Liaise with tenants via email and telephone to notify of maintenance issues or upcoming works
  • Use of Elogbooks Helpdesk to log new jobs
  • Carry out daily building checks and log any maintenance/cleaning issues with relevant contractors
  • Ensure outside contractors complete work reports/logbooks before leaving site, issuing work permits or liaising with Facilities Manager to obtain work permit
  • Update online compliance system, Riskwise
  • Minute taking and typing of notes as and when required
  • Compile and send out waste and recycling reports for tenants
  • Update meter readings and distribute to the relevant tenants and accounts department
  • Assist with general duties as and when required
  • Sort and distribute internal mail
  • Liaise with cleaners to ensure the communal areas and building lobby is kept in a good state of repair and cleaning standards are high
  • Complete shift report reviews and review daily patrols completed by site security, raising or following up on any outstanding issues and alerting line manager if required
  • Assist with the organisation of events with communal spaces and driving occupier agreement

Requirements

  • 2 years' + experience in a self-managed, responsible Receptionist/Front of House or customer service role
  • Basic understanding of Property Management industry
  • Enthusiastic, passionate with a commitment to delivering exceptional standards of customer service at all times
  • Mature, accountable attitude with ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Confident, outgoing personality with a corporate and professional outlook
  • Ability to prioritise where necessary
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Tact, diplomacy and awareness of confidentiality
  • Self-starter with the flexibility to undertake a range of duties
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Acute attention to detail
