Job Summary:

A Senior Legal Counsel with substantial experience in insurance law is required to join a leading travel insurance company on a permanent basis.

About the Role:

The successful Senior Legal Counsel will be the business's first legal hire, enabling the Solicitor to have a significant impact on the company from day one.

In the short to medium term, the successful Solicitor will be expected to handle a range of commercial legal matters across the business, with a strong emphasis on insurance law.

In the long term, the Senior Legal Counsel will have the opportunity to grow a legal function within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a range of commercial matters across the business, with a strong emphasis on insurance law.
  • Draft a wide variety of insurance-based agreements, including regulated and non-regulated contracts.
  • Establish and implement legal processes to support the business.
  • Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders, including the Underwriting, Finance, Tax, and Claims teams.
