**About the Role**

We are seeking a talented and experienced major gifts fundraiser to join our team at the University of Cambridge. As the Associate Director, London, you will play a key role in building and strengthening our networks of alumni and supporters in London.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to secure philanthropic support for the University's priorities, including major gifts and legacy giving.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, senior academic and administrative staff, and other key stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with academics and development colleagues to pursue donor-led major gift fundraising opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including corporate and foundation partnerships.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, with a focus on securing gifts at the transformational level.

**Requirements**

  • Proven track record of securing major gifts and legacy giving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals and objectives.
  • Strong business acumen, with a good understanding of the higher education sector and its fundraising challenges.
