We're seeking a skilled Supervisor to support our Transportation team in Glastonbury. This role is part of our esteemed maintenance works contract with Somerset County Council, focusing on the Somerset Highways Term Service Contract.

As a Supervisor, you'll work within the Planned Works team, assisting in the delivery of reactive works elements of highways maintenance activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Planned Works Manager in programming, managing, and delivering planned works
  • Supervising daily allocation and resources, ensuring compliance with program and maintenance requirement plans
  • Actively promoting health and safety in the workplace, setting a good example for other employees
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and emergency services as required

This role is ideal for those with experience in the highways industry, knowledge of network operations, and scheme delivery. You'll need to hold an SSSTS or higher, drive, and hold a full driving license. We're looking for someone who can lead and motivate teams successfully and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
