Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board, enabling them to deliver their responsibilities and strategic agenda. This will involve taking responsibility for the leadership of the Office of the Chief Executive, acting as counsel and advisor to the CEO, and providing tactical support in managing high-level risks to the organisation.

Key Duties
  • Support the CEO in defining, prioritising, and overseeing direct communication and external engagement with key stakeholders, including other NHS, Local Government, Regional and National Partners, Regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare high-quality correspondence, briefing notes, and presentations for and on behalf of the CEO and Chair of the ICB to enable the progression of their priorities across a range of complex agendas.
  • Lead on complex, highly sensitive projects involving multiple organisations, both internally and externally, and turn insight and innovation into the ICB's Strategic Direction development.
About the Role

NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB is responsible for planning, organising, and buying NHS-funded healthcare for people in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the CEO in delivering this vision.

Person Specification
  • Evidence of strong continuing personal and professional development.
  • Significant senior management experience in an ICB or similar complex organisation with comparable scope, responsibilities, budget, and resources.
  • Ability to understand the impact of regulatory frameworks and statutory regulations on an organisation's functioning.
  • A demonstrable commitment to ensuring equality, celebrating diversity, and promoting social inclusion within an organisation.
  • Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
  • Experience of working in or closely with a commissioning organisation.
