We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at The Delivery Group in Warrington. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for proactively managing our credit control processes to ensure timely payment from our customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong administration and IT skills, with experience in customer-facing roles and a proven track record of effective debt recovery. You will be working closely with our Group Credit Control Supervisor and the wider finance team to achieve our financial goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing new accounts on our financial systems
  • Assisting with the monitoring of our customer accounts and chasing overdue payments
  • General administration tasks, including sending invoices and statements, and reconciling accounts
  • Proactively identifying and resolving payment issues with customers
  • Accurate record-keeping and diary maintenance of client accounts and chasing records
  • Liaising with internal departments to resolve payment issues and improve cash flow
  • Assisting with cash allocation and attending regular meetings to discuss collection risks and aged debt items
  • Performing ad-hoc tasks as required to support the finance team
