Project Support Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Support Manager to join our Transformation Unit team. As a key member of our Estate Development & Site Management Team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery and support of minor and major capital projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Project Support Managers to ensure that schemes are effectively managed and delivered, drawing on technical expertise from the wider Site Services, Estates teams, and consultants. You will be involved in the whole project lifecycle, from business case development, design and construction, through to post-project evaluation and reporting.

This is a permanent opportunity to be part of a significant and rewarding change programme that goes beyond pure construction to shape the future delivery of clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide planning and administrative support to the operational and project management functions, targeting your skills flexibly across the team and department to ensure all functions and projects are effectively supported.
  2. Project manage small minor works capital schemes from inception to completion, ensuring schemes are carried out within budget, to the required quality, and delivered on time.
  3. Support the production of project documentation, issues logs, risk registers, and project control reports using Trust documentation and electronic tools, ensuring standardisation and auditability of all deliverables.
  4. Use Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, PLANET, BIM, and other computer software to develop, structure, and produce project programmes and plans, including all elements of a complex multifaceted project.
  5. Work with operational services to propose best practice changes to service delivery, ensuring healthcare buildings arise from clinical need and evidence-based practice rather than the status quo.
  6. Assist in the planning and delivery of all aspects of communication activity for schemes, including the use of external media, events, direct communication, public relations, internal communications, media relations, and consultation from all stakeholder groups.
  7. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Project.

  • Able to present relevant information in a concise and easily readable format, with demonstrable experience in report/document writing.
