About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Owner to join our team at Gymshark. As a key member of our Technical Platforms team, you will play a critical role in defining and prioritizing our product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for backend integration projects
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure effective implementation of the event-driven microservices architecture on AWS
  • Coordinate with other Product Owners and stakeholders to manage dependencies and ensure a cohesive end-to-end eCommerce solution
  • Regularly review and assess the performance of backend integrations, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Successfully deliver backend integration projects within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline
  • Continuously improve and optimize the event-driven microservices architecture on AWS
  • Ensure the stability, scalability, and reliability of backend integrations
  • Maximize the business value and impact of backend integration initiatives
Requirements
  • Experience as a Product Owner in a technical environment
  • Experience in software development, with a focus on backend integrations and microservices architecture
  • Experience implementing event-driven microservices architecture, preferably within an eCommerce context
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with experience in a Product Owner or similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills
Desirable Skills
  • AWS certification or equivalent experience, such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of API design principles and best practices, such as REST or GraphQL
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, as well as containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
