The Lounge team is growing We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to take our collections to a new level with innovation and creativity. We are looking for someone who is creative, thinks outside the box and has ahead of the curve ideas for all our product collections within Accessories and Footwear categories.
As the team grows, you'll have the opportunity to grow too Working alongside our design team, not only will you be able to develop your skills within this role, but we also want you to bring your own thinking and ideas to drive the team's development.
What you will do at Lounge:
Leading with new design innovations to create new and exciting products for our accessories and footwear collections that can fit within our design plan, wider clothing ranges and fit our customer's wants and needs. Work from initial mood boards, trend and concept ideas all the way through to final CAD designs. Research the consumer market and identify new trends and areas for the brand. Leading on bringing new ideas and pushing innovations to bring to the Head of Product and wider design team. Research into materials, fabrications and components within the market to incorporate into new innovations across product ranges whilst considering the wider collection designs. Review and feedback on lab dips, material quality submission alongside the wider product team weekly. Complete detailed tech packs to be shared with suppliers to the correct standard agreed with the Head of Product and Lead Product Developer. Managing development projects from tech packs to final end samples, in a timely manner ensuring critical path dates are met continuously. Liaise clearly and professionally with our suppliers, communicating fit trial feedback, product development plans and more. A keen eye for fit and quality analysis for new and existing Lounge products. Join our journey in pushing sustainability within our Product Team - making suggestions to change designs and advising on suitable substitute fabrics/components and production plans. Bring knowledge and experience within accessories and footwear garments. This includes knowledge of construction, pattern and grading through different materials and fabrications. Liaise directly with material and component suppliers, ensuring regular visits to office and communications are kept clear for new project developments. Expert knowledge in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and any new programs adopted (with relevant training) Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate ideas to the team, Head of Product, Chiefs, and wider business when needed. Working closely with the Head of Product to implement new systems and structure for the design team function as the business grows. Ensuring a continued professional, yet can-do positive attitude to keep team motivation high. We would love it if you:
Have a degree in Fashion, Accessories, Footwear Design or similar course relevant to the role. Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar relevant role. Are confident liaising with our wider Product Team and suppliers across the world - with a professional and organised mindset. Proficiency in Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator Are excited to take on the challenge of an extremely fast moving role. Are a totally creative person, with the ability to think outside the box and create new and exciting products for Lounge.
