Job Description

AIE - Advanced Innovative Engineering, (UK) Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer to join our team in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Verification: Support the design and verification of new innovations for the Wankel Rotary Engine power units supplied to customers in the aerospace transport and power generation markets.
  • Stress Analysis: Conduct stress analysis, communicate results, and advise on all aspects of structural engineering activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multi-discipline engineering team to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
  • Technical Authority: Take ownership of all stress/structural related activities for particular projects through all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Process Development: Develop and maintain common processes and procedures relating to stress engineering activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar analytical role.
  • Qualifications: Master or higher degree in a Physics or Engineering discipline.
  • Skills: Proven experience in the use of Finite Element Analysis software tools (preferably Ansys) and techniques.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of material properties, IC engine operation, and environmental test methods.

Working Environment

Thirty-eight hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (30-minute lunch) Friday 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.

21 days plus 8 days of statutory bank holidays.

Remuneration: The salary for this post will be commensurate with the capabilities and qualifications of the candidate.
