Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Luggage Porter to join our team. As a Luggage Porter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring that their luggage is handled with care and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests and assist with luggage, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Deliver luggage to rooms, ensuring that it is stored safely and securely.
  • Replenish guest bedrooms with arrival amenities, including towels, toiletries, and other essentials.
  • Assist in keeping the reception lounge and other public areas clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that luggage and guest belongings are properly tagged and delivered to the correct rooms.
  • Assist the room service staff on busy days, ensuring that guest requests are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Run errands and perform small jobs to fulfill guest requests.
  • Ensure the safety of guests by placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paint.
  • Store equipment accurately, tidily, and safely.
  • Ensure the safe removal, segregation, and storage of all recycling materials.
  • Set, light, and monitor fireplaces within public areas.
  • Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries.
  • Set up and clear down external area furniture and other outdoor tasks.
  • Contribute to stock taking as required.
  • Provide porter support in all areas, including deliveries.
Requirements
  • A passion for customer service with a unique flair and strong problem resolution skills.
  • Confidence in handling customer complaints, ensuring satisfaction levels are restored in the event something doesn't go to plan.
  • Strong communication skills through various means.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks.
  • High standards of cleanliness.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
