We are seeking to hire a Clinical Nurse Specialist for a part-time role of 24 hours per week (flexible).

The ideal candidate will be a motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist with robust clinical skills and a collaborative spirit, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Proficiency in managing chronic conditions, elderly care programs, vaccinations, and other related services is essential.

Your role will involve providing and upholding a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as offering support to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.

The responsibilities will encompass all typical tasks performed by an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) and any additional duties agreed upon with the physicians as necessary.

Join our welcoming team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a professional and confidential demeanor with patients and colleagues.

Provide a comprehensive approach to travel health by advising patients prior to travel, including vaccinations, medications, safe practices, and health precautions.

Administer and advise on childhood and adult vaccinations, ensuring compliance with patient group directives.

Manage all aspects of Chronic Disease Management.

Conduct clinics and health promotion initiatives, offering holistic assessments and lifestyle guidance regarding nutrition, smoking cessation, alcohol consumption, and physical activity.

Evaluate issues presented by patients during consultations.

Document consultations in accordance with NMC guidelines.

Stay informed about statutory and local clinical protection protocols, including referral systems, and recognize signs of child abuse.

Perform cervical cytology tests.

Recognize and manage anaphylaxis in line with current UK guidelines.

Assist with minor surgical procedures as required.

Obtain and document informed consent (either verbal or written).

Adhere to infection control protocols.

Oversee the management of stock and equipment, including refrigeration and emergency supplies.
