We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Hepatitis C and Liver Team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to work in a specialist role, providing high-quality care to patients with viral hepatitis and liver disease. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, including training and assessment, to become competent in the management of patients with viral hepatitis.
Key Responsibilities- Support and manage a cohort of patients with viral hepatitis and liver disease, under supervision, within set protocols.
- Develop and maintain clinical expertise, delivering the highest standards of care to meet the needs of patients, their carers, and significant others.
- Work in outreach services, including prison health, to provide a blood borne virus testing service as required.
- Collaborate with ID and Hepatology teams in the management of chronic disease.
- Attend and participate in the Hepatitis Nurse Forum and ID/Liver meetings.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Registered Nurse/Midwife qualification.
- Post-basic specialist qualification relevant to the specialty.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Extensive clinical experience, including involvement in audit.
