About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Support Worker to join our team at Active Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters.
  • Liaise with and support the family as required.
  • Assist clients to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained (including washing, dressing and toileting).
  • Support clients to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events.
  • Follow the service user plan as documented for the client.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records.
  • Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the care manager as appropriate.
Requirements
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible.
  • Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (we cover the cost of this).
