About The Role
Exciting opportunity to become a part of the saha team as a Community Engagement Specialist on a fixed-term contract.
The Community Engagement Specialist will collaborate closely with the team and residents to enhance the community initiatives at saha, aiming to elevate the health, social, and welfare outcomes of the service. This role will involve creating both internal community activities and outreach programs to strengthen saha's visibility within the local area. Additionally, the specialist will engage innovatively with partner organizations that offer valuable activities, educational resources, training, and health and wellness opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborating with residents to facilitate the design and implementation of a program of in-house meaningful activities tailored to client needs and aspirations across the services. Supporting support workers and the service manager in amplifying the voice of the residents in all facets of saha's operations. Identifying and connecting with partner agencies and organizations that provide significant activities, education, training, and employment opportunities relevant to individual client needs, and involving them in the activities program. Engaging with clients and the local community through various platforms to promote activities and maintain communication with clients in the service. Partnering with Support Workers to address clients' feelings of isolation and social exclusion by ensuring a comprehensive support package is provided, encouraging client involvement in the community, and supporting the delivery of relevant programs.About You

Required Qualifications:
Proactive and self-driven with a positive attitude. Experience or knowledge related to working with homeless individuals and/or supporting vulnerable populations. Proven ability to navigate and resolve challenging and complex situations successfully. A history of effective collaboration with local community and voluntary sector partners, including recruiting, training, and supporting a diverse range of volunteers. Demonstrated success in fundraising at the community level. Ability to establish trusting, professional relationships and maintain a high level of resilience.
