About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Nurse Leader to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a Senior Nurse Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the personal and professional development of our nursing team, ensuring that quality agendas are met and that our patients receive safe, effective, and timely care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of nurses and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that evidence-based practice is implemented and that patient outcomes are improved.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care delivery and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma) with significant post-registration experience and knowledge within a relevant speciality.
  • Registered nurse on the appropriate part of the register.
  • Experience in ward management and leadership.
  • Knowledge of current issues within the acute healthcare sector.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical decision-making and judgment.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and to the post and Care Group responsibilities.
