About the Role:

Axalta is seeking a skilled Chemical Manufacturing Operator to join our team at our facility in Wellingborough, England (UK). As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing our formulations to meet planned volumes and targets in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mixing and associated equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
  • Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in daily briefings and contribute to the development of continuous improvement methodologies to improve performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, HSE, and team development.
  • Actively participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to drive excellence in our operations.
  • Have a sound knowledge of systems and procedures and carry out all work in a safe manner, reporting any issues via the appropriate system.
  • Rotate regularly across all manufacturing areas to maintain standards and raise issues with team members to resolve efficiently.
  • Challenge personal performance and develop own skills to deliver consistent results.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge and application of continuous improvement tools in daily work and actively participate in improvement teams.

Requirements:

  • GCSE/NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or 3 years' experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Ideal qualification in Maths and English – must be competent in numeracy to read and understand numbers, batch cards, interpret and manipulate data where required.
  • Certified with forklift truck license.
  • Experience in manufacturing/process industry.
  • Excellent verbal communication and team work skills to work with colleagues to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Desire to champion the company values.
  • Logical problem-solving skills.
