**The Opportunity**

In this key role, you will lead the hygiene team, providing expert knowledge on food contact and environmental hygiene requirements and methods of cleaning. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure best practices are implemented and maintained.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Maintain a rigorous hygiene cleaning schedule to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Manage tasks completed by hygiene operatives, ensuring all activities are carried out to the highest standard.
  • Investigate and resolve any non-conformances related to hygiene, in line with relevant procedures.
  • Lead investigations into any out-of-specification food contact or environmental swab fails.
  • Plan and manage the cleaning of factory equipment, including tins, racks, and frames.
  • Maintain the Holchem Platform and manage Chemical Inventory Control (CICs).
  • Support Shift Managers with non-conformance investigations, as required.
  • Monitor and manage all chemicals on site, including ordering replenishment stock.
  • Monitor and manage all hygiene consumables on site, including ordering replenishment stock.
  • Manage COSHH for the site, including maintaining chemical lists and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
  • Maintain hygiene traceability documentation, including presenting it to customers and third-party auditors, as necessary.

**Requirements**

  • Previous experience working in hygiene management within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP and COSH (qualifications desirable).
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Management.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
