About the Role
We are seeking experienced and qualified English Literature teachers to join our team of examiners for GCSE English Literature. As an examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of marking, which is essential for maintaining the high standards of our qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Marking and Moderation
You will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, ensuring that you adhere to the conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
Administration and LogisticsYou will be required to submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times and ensure that all administration is completed as specified.
Subject Knowledge and ExpertiseA high level of subject knowledge is necessary to apply the mark scheme effectively, and you will be expected to demonstrate this expertise throughout the marking process.
Requirements
- Teaching Experience
You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, relevant to the qualification and subject, and since qualifying as a teacher.
Qualifications and SkillsYou will have a degree or equivalent, be a qualified teacher, and possess the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Subject Knowledge and ExpertiseYou will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme effectively.
