Mental Health Recovery Psychiatric Nurse

We understand that transitioning from student to registered nurse can be a daunting experience. Our Preceptorship Academy is designed to provide you with the support and guidance you need to succeed in your new role.
As a newly qualified nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive clinically led team, where you will be able to develop your skills and confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. You will be working in partnership with patients, engaging, supporting, and developing relationships that enable the recovery process.
Our preceptorship programme is a great opportunity to map out your continuing professional development and consider how you want to progress your career as a nurse. You will reflect on and evaluate your role and identity as a nurse, and when you need that extra bit of support, we'll be here for you alongside your multi-disciplinary team.
The programme is designed and delivered by senior mental health professionals and peer trainers - people with lived experience of mental health services. Through supervision and assessment, you will be supported to practice safely and build your confidence during your first 12 months as a newly qualified nurse.
