Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Development to lead and manage the performance and delivery of our Development Programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping and influencing the delivery of our Development Strategy, including a broad range of mixed tenure schemes.
About the Role:
As Head of Development, you will have the opportunity to join a highly respected organisation that takes pride in investing in its people, customers, and the creation of a fairer society. You will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the performance and delivery of the Development Programme, from inception to end of defect liability period.
- Appraising and assessing schemes for Board approval, including the acquisition of land and existing buildings.
- Continuously seeking new development ideas and managing a pipeline of financially viable opportunities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Presenting information at senior levels and collaborating with the management team to deliver exceptional customer service and offer value for money.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- Professional qualification from a relevant institution (CIOB, RICS, CIH).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading development teams and partnership working.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Knowledge of the social housing sector and understanding of the Government Housing Agenda.
- Proven ability to manage development programmes, budgets, and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly organised, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
