About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join our team at Monaghans Continuum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of development and regeneration projects through various development phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and report back to clients
  • Assess development sites in the context of planning and feasibility/viability studies
  • Manage the procurement of professional teams on a range of development projects
  • Procure suitable supporting information required for the successful development of projects
  • Support the preparation of land and build contracts to ensure land is secured and contracts are entered into in line with agreed timescales
  • Arrange and attend pre-application meetings with Local Authorities
  • Coordinate the planning application process with planning consultants
  • Manage existing and new relationships with Local Authority and Private Sector Clients
  • Attend and chair project meetings
  • Engage in consultation exercises with Local Authority councillors, politicians, and the local community
  • Support in the management of Company and Client budgets
  • Instruct residual appraisals for development schemes
  • Instruct financial viability appraisals (FVA) and development appraisals
  • Collaborate with colleagues as required to share information and ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Promote and represent the company to maximise development opportunities and the reputation of Monaghans Continuum
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Development Management role or similar in terms of project delivery
  • Knowledge and understanding of the property development industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of the planning process
  • MRICS, MRTPI, or equivalent qualification
  • Proficient across all Microsoft Office platforms
  • Experience in using MS Project or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Experience of leading and managing development and regeneration projects
  • Experience of working within a consultancy or client organisation
  • Confident and able to manage clients and project teams
  • Confident and able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and relevant members of project teams
  • Ability to resolve problems in collaboration with other team members
  • Ability to clearly articulate project needs on a scheme-by-scheme basis
  • Ability to effectively manage time and ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Commitment, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic
