Payroll Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Bury St Edmund's. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for a range of clients, including BACs payment processing, direct client contact, and payroll query resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients
  • BACs payment processing and management
  • Direct client contact and communication
  • Payroll query resolution and problem-solving
  • Assisting and supervising junior staff (Assistant Manager grade only)
Requirements:
  • Accurate and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel) and other IT systems
  • High-level understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, including auto-enrolment pensions, statutory payments, and HMRC legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a positive approach to problem-solving
